MULLIGAN

I am revising my work schedule again. I now will be in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This will allow me to keep my clients happy, write my novel, and perhaps even work on my game.

MEET ME AT AMEN CORNER!

I have access to hotel/ticket packages for the 2012 Masters (April 5 -8). Options include: (1) practice rounds; (2) Thursday-Friday tournament rounds; (3) Saturday-Sunday tournament rounds; and (4) 4-day tournament rounds. All include hotel, tickets, breakfast, and transportation to/from Augusta National.

DULLES-DUBLIN DIRECT!

On June 7, Continental/United will begin daily non-stop service from Dulles to Dublin, leaving at 10:00pm and arriving at 9:55 am the following day. The return leaves Dublin at 11:25am, arriving Dulles at 2:25pm. These flights are operated by Continental, which means no Economy Plus seating in coach. Unfortunately, there still is no direct service to Shannon; you must change in Boston, Newark, Atlanta, or London.

THE MUHAMMAD ALI OF GOLF?

On July 15, after numerous lawsuits and two years of construction, Trump International Aberdeen -- The Donald’s Scotland magnum opus is scheduled to open for play.

In his own inimitable style, Mr. Trump claims his links to be “the world’s greatest golf course” designed by the “world leading architect,” and worthy of hosting a major championship. Be among the first to sample what is likely to be a unique golfing experience. I’ll let the R&A decide if and when it will host an Open…. There many good courses in the Aberdeen area, including Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen, and Murcar. Just a few hours north are Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, and Nairn. I can put together a package to include any or all of the above.

CHICAGO CHALLENGE 2012

I think the Ryder Cup is the greatest event in golf (and perhaps all of sports). The 2012 Match is scheduled for September 27–30 at Medinah CC, just outside of Chicago. This event always sells out, and I have access to 4-night hotel/ticket packages including match tickets and transfers to and from Medinah.

Give something back to the game which means so much to you. The 1st Tee program has helped thousands of kids to learn the game and the life skills that are so closely associated with it. Support (or even better, volunteer for) your local 1st Tee chapter -- DC, Montgomery, Princes George’s, Howard, or Prince William

COMING ATTRACTIONS

I’m headed to the PGA merchandise show in Orlando at the end of January to check out the cornucopia of golf travel goodies. I’ll spend President’s Day weekend at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach. Last, I’m still trying to work in a round at Pinehurst #2 in March or April. My next issue should be chock full of information!
